ALBANIA QUEST 2027

a new chapter on June 15 th - 20th 2027

Albania Quest is the next chapter in the Quest Series, the ultimate off-road navigation events in the Balkans. After Bosnia and Montenegro, in 2027 the adventure moves to Albania – a country of raw contrasts still waiting to be discovered. From the sacred peak of Mount Tomorr and the dramatic depths of the Osum Canyon, across remote highland villages, to the Ottoman old town of Berat, the “City of a Thousand Windows.”

Like every Quest, Albania Quest is a navigational and strategic gathering, where teams (3–6 riders) use GPS and .gpx coordinates to find hidden routes and reach the most unforgettable and dramatic landscapes of their lives. The more coordinates you conquer, the more awe-inspiring locations you will discover. And that is where the true magic of this event lies.

The focus is on team spirit, adventure and connecting with the local community. The journey will take you over mountain passes, through ancient forests and along mighty canyons, all within a safe environment, supported by tracking devices and the organizer’s safety and technical assistance.

Albania Quest 2027 is designed for Adventure Enduro, Hard Enduro and Dual Sport riders who seek more than just riding – they seek a Quest.

Why Albania

We chose Albania for the 2027 edition for its untamed landscapes, diverse riding terrain and the unique blend of Adriatic beauty with rugged Balkan wilderness, that makes every adventure unforgettable.

Quest base location

Berat, the UNESCO “City of a Thousand Windows” puts history, comfort and central Albania’s wildest trails all within reach from a single doorstep. There will be our Quest base.

All riders are welcome

Quest Series welcomes Adventure, Dual Sport, and Hard Enduro bikes, with a recommended minimum fuel range of 150 km per tank.

Tracks difficulty

Tracks are graded by difficulty and coordinate accessibility, making them suitable for both experienced and intermediate riders, with certain sections also friendly for newcomers to the adventure riding world.

ALBANIA A LAND FOR RIDERS

Wild mountains, forgotten trails and a culture that still greets strangers as guests. From our base you can reach a riding area of around 10,000 km², an enormous slice of central Albania packed with natural wonders as the rocky Tomorr massif and its national park, the deep Osum Canyon and Bogovë waterfalls, the wild Vjosa river valley, the Lengarica canyon and Bënjë thermal springs near Përmet, the highland lakes of Skrapar and the Dumre district, the eastern forests of Shebenik National Park, and all the way west to the Adriatic lagoons of Divjaka-Karavasta and ancient sites like Apollonia and Byllis.

Dramatic diversity

Ride from Adriatic lagoons to 2,000 m ridgelines, all within the same event.

A truly vast area

10,000 km² of terrain means endless route options and far more natural landmarks than any single trip could cover.

Hidden gems

Far from tourist maps, some tracks see more shepherds than tourists.

A land of legendary hospitality

Where being invited in for a homemade coffee or a cup of mountain tea is never a matter of chance, but part of the culture. Every village greets riders like old friends.

BASE LOCATION FOR RIDERS

Our home for Albania Quest 2027 is the city of Berat and our base camp is Hotel Colombo ★★★★★, set against the backdrop of the UNESCO-listed old town. All loops start and finish here, which means every morning you ride out into the Albanian wilderness and every evening you come back to a five-star hotel. One base, one vibe and a whole region to explore from your doorstep.

RIDING AREA

Albania Quest unlocks a genuinely huge playground: around 10,000 km² of riding area out from a single base. Every route is designed as a loop that starts and ends at camp, so you can ride one per day, combine several, or create your own daily plan. Loops range from short and scenic to up to 300 km for teams chasing the far corners of the region. All tracks have been personally tested, ridden and marked with Quest Series Codes, set at the most breathtaking locations across the whole area.

Because the area is so large, no single day and no single edition, can cover it all. That’s the point: there are always more canyons, passes, rivers and villages to discover than you can reach in one Quest.

Each participant receives a .gpx and physical map with everything needed to navigate. Difficulty levels are mentioned in the briefings during the event and the most technical sections are highlighted so you can prepare for or avoid them.

10.000 km2 riding area

Built for twin-cylinder adventure bikes, dual-sport and hard enduro motorcycles.

Daily loops from 100 - 350 km

All loop are starting and finishing at the base, but you can decide to combine them and stay outside our base location.

Different terrains

Versatility at it’s the best form. From scenic, safe roads to flowy trails and technical sections for more experienced riders…you will find it all, but don’t forget, it is up to you and your team to decide how hard you want to ride.

Signature highlights within reach

The Osum Canyon (“Grand Canyon of Albania”) & Bogovë waterfalls, Mount Tomorr National Park, the wild Vjosa river valleyLengarica canyon & Bënjë thermal springs, the Skrapar and Dumre highlandsShebenik National Park, and the Divjaka-Karavasta coastal lagoons

BIKES & RIDER EXPERIENCE

Albania Quest rewards preparation. With loops running up to 300 km through remote terrain, both your motorcycle and your riding level make the difference between an epic ride and a hard day out. Here’s what you’ll need to get the most out of the adventure.

THE RIGHT BIKE & RIDER LEVEL

Minimum 150 km fuel range.

Fuel stops can be far apart, so your bike must comfortably cover at least 150 km on a single tank. A Hard Enduro bike fitted with an enlarged / long-range tank qualifies too.

Built for adventure.

The Quest is designed above all for 1- and especially 2-cylinder Adventure motorcycles (Adventure Enduro / Dual Sport). Their range, comfort and stability are the perfect balance for paved transfers, wide gravel roads and short technical sections.

Also welcome

Hard Enduro and lighter Dual Sport bikes as long as they meet the 150 km range requirement.

Fuel for at least 150 km is mandatory

Fuel stops can be far apart, so every rider must be able to cover a minimum of 150 km – from a large enough tank or a spare fuel reserve. You choose your own pace and distance, just never run out of fuel out there.
